Utah Fashion Photographer - Calypso Dress Shoot

This shoot is my favorite of the shoots I did with Tanya while in California, and I dare say it is one of my favorite shoots of all time! The shoot itself was quick and hectic...baby girls crying the entire time...but LOOK AT THAT LIGHTING! The light was a gift that all photographers dream of! Light like this is what makes the difference from a so-so photo and a photo that just comes to life in an amazing way. I love it! And, of course, Tanya looks fabulous, as always. Utah Fashion Photographer - Santa Monica Pier

This last week I traveled to Venice Beach, California to visit one of my oldest, best friends, Tanya, whom I have known since I was just 10 years old. She and I have little girls that are one week apart(which we didn't plan), so we thought it would be fun to have a girl's trip so our little ones could become friends like we are.
Although it was a bit crazy with two toddlers running around, we had a blast!
Tanya writes a fashion blog, called November Grey, where she posts photos of her fashion creations, mostly from vintage/thrifted finds that cost close to nothing.
We had fun doing the shoots for her blog outfits together. She got great blog photos and I got great portfolio shots - a win/win situation!
And, I must say that all the photos turned out great, especially considering there were two little monkeys running under foot while we took them!
I will be posting all the shoots, eventually, including some awesome home design photos for my other blog Design Diffuse, but for now, here is the first one at Santa Monica Pier.

Utah Senior Photographer - A little Great Salt Lake Love

This Senior wanted to do something a bit different from other Senior shoots she had seen, so she suggested we go out to the Great Salt Lake. And, what a great idea it ended up being. We did have to battle a few (hundred) bugs and pretty gross mud, but it was SO WORTH IT! We saw some of the most beautiful light towards sunset. And, I think the photos turned out amazing!

Utah Bridal Photographer - Just helping out!

This was a fun shoot, because I was just helping out a friend who is a fellow photographer! No pressure...that's the best! I happened to be at her house and she asked if I wanted to come along and be her second photographer. It was a blast! It's so fun to see the different perspectives of the same subject.
Oh, and she is the one who edited most of these photos...gotta give credit where credit is due!

This little cutie was the easiest baby I have ever shot! What a nice change! She was so calm and workable...two words that usually don't get used when talking about baby shoots! She is adorable!
