Utah Family Photograher - Good Old Fashioned Family Fun!

I took these family photos of my friend and fellow photographer, Zoie's family in, I think, March. Her husband was home on leave from his assignment in South Korea and she wanted to do a family shoot that involved planes and an old fashioned feel.
We decided that Hill Air Force Base in Clearfield, Utah and the Ogden Union Station, would be good locations.
When we left Salt Lake City it seemed to be a nice day for shooting, but by the time we got to the base I think the temperature had dropped about 25 degrees...literally. It was FREEZING. And, the wind was blowing. What started out as a workable spring day, ended up being a winter day that made shooting miserable. By the time we got to the Union Station it got so cold that we let the kids sit inside while Zoie and I ventured out to get a few shots of her...because she was brave enough.
Our last option was to shoot at one of my favorite places - Farr Better Ice Cream Parlor. It has a fun, vintage flair to it and has been a place I have gone since I was a kid. Not the best lighting inside, but fun and WARM. We did the best we could and got some fun shots.
The first few I'm posting were edited by Zoie and they look great. And, the last ones are edited by me. I thought it would be fun to see the two different styles!
(And, check out Zoie's cute, vintage inspired dress...I love it!)

Utah Wedding Photographer - Beautiful Orchard and Beautiful Bride

Can I just say I love shooting in orchards? Not to mention, the look is really in right now. I even had my own family photo shoot done in this very orchard by my amazing friend, and fellow photographer, Zoie.
We were on a tight schedule with this shoot, so we didn't get as much time as planned in the orchard, but I was pleased with what we did get. And, I must say,"Doesn't she look radiant?"

Utah Family Photographer - Summer fun at Wheeler Farm

Just catching up. These were taken this summer at Wheeler Farm. This little girl has tons of energy and did not want to sit still for photos...can you blame her? Come on...we were at Wheeler Farm. Far, too much to see and do! But, in the end I love how the photos turned out. She is a beautiful child and you can tell how much her parents love her. And, we were lucky enough to catch some amazing lighting. All in all, a great shoot. Glad to finally get them up!
