Utah Family Photographer - Fall Family Photos at Wheeler Farm

I took this little family's photos almost a month ago and they turned out darling! I LOVE this little girl! She is so cute! And, she has such a cute personality!
We took these at Wheeler Farm, which is fast becoming a favorite shooting spot of mine...such a diverse place (if you know where to look) and fun for the kids who are being forced..err...I mean allowed to have their portrait taken.(Always a plus for the photographer!)

1940's Themed Photo Shoot - Ogden Union Station, Utah

Finally! I took these photos in July and they are finally up on my blog! I had so much fun doing this shoot and I loved how the photos turned out, but, alas, it still took me a long time to get the photos up.
I love the 1940's fashion, music..well, basically everything about the era! So, I have been planning this shoot in my head for months. I did research about the hair styles, make-up and clothing of the time, and although I titled this a 1940's "themed" shoot, some of our outfits were off a bit, but hey, that's why it is only "themed" and not "exact".
To pull it off I enlisted the help of some super talented make-up artists/hair stylists. Stephanie did most of the hair and donated tons of clothing and accessories owned by her grandmother, who, I must add, was a pretty stylish lady! Alex did all of the make-up and a few hairstyles. You can check out their awesomeness here and here.
And, I had fellow photographer and friend of mine shoot with me. You can see her fabulous work here and here. She is a really talented photographer!
Then, I must give credit to all of our beautiful models! They rocked! Big time!
They were so willing to let me style them in whatever...some of which was really from the 40's and smelled like it! Daring girls!
A lot of work, preparation, and fun...totally worth every second!
These are the outside shoots. We also did indoors shots in different outfits. I will put some of those up soon, or you can see some on my Moda Photography Facebook Page.

Utah Wedding Photographer - Engagements and Wildflowers at Albion Basin

Summer has come and gone and I feel like I am so behind with everything in my life, most especially photo shoot posting! I have some great stuff that I just need to get up, so I will probably be posting like a mad women soon! But, for now, on to this post.
Tammie and Jason wanted engagement photos that were taken up in the mountains - a place they like to spend a lot of their free time! So, we decided to head up to Albion Basin, which is part of Alta Ski Resort and located at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon. For years, I have heard about the beautiful wildflowers up there, but have never ventured there myself...until now. And, I must say it was amazing. Amazing, except for the bugs that seemed to be everywhere. I talk about the bugs a lot, don't I? Well, they are hard to work with. Dang it. At least I know to bring bug spray next time and the photos turned out great despite the pesky things!
ANYWAY, I am excited to post these photos and have done Tammie's bridals and will be doing their wedding photos, as well, so keep watching for some great wedding stuff coming soon!

These two photos are similar to the one I used the vignette on - better with or without the vignette?
